Legislative Priorities

The Michigan Guardianship Association is the premier initiator for the advancement of legislative reform, guardianship licensure, education, and the promotion of best practices for the protection of vulnerable individuals. Click on the link below to read the flyer that was distributed to members of the House of Representatives and members of the Senate during Capitol Day 2025 in Lansing, Michigan to assist in opening up lines of communication and save Public Guardians to protect the most vulnerable.

MGA Legislative Committee Mission

MGA is actively engaged in educating the Legislature on the importance of guardianship in Michigan. Our participation in bill monitoring has already resulted in a number of bills being amended to protect our wards and the profession.
